FRAUDSTERS MAY BE GEARING UP FOR FESTIVAL SEASON

Criminal gangs may be gearing up for a blitz on Australian and New Zealand festivals and concerts over the summer season. Security experts have warned of the gangs following the discovery of very sophisticated forged tickets and wristbands around Europe.

There is also evidence that the gangs have compromised factories in China where certain wristbands are believed to be made in order to produce almost exact replicas. Leading experts in the UK have also revealed that around 800 fake tickets for the Reading festival were discovered. Summer sees the beginning of the large festival season in Australia and is a potential target for these gangs.
